Bold, beautiful and blessed with the best skiing and snowboarding east of the Rockies, the Charlevoix is a special treat, and a Snowhawks favourite!

This year's Getaway repeats the best of our 2025 Charlevoix Getaway. Two days of dry, powdery snow and lack of crowds at Mont Grand-Fonds was such a hit last winter, as was a luxurious three-night stay at the Fairmont's five-star Manoir Richelieu, on the shore of the St Lawrence River in La Malbaie. And to make a great ski trip even better, the final day of our 2026 Getaway features the majestic Le Massif de Charlevoix, with its 2,526 vertical feet rising from the St Lawrence offering a diversity of terrain and spectacular views! 

What's so special about Mont Grand-Fonds? As we follow the St Lawrence toward its gulf, we head more north than east, resulting in a snow pack built from more dry, light powder snow! Grand-Fonds has terrain for every level of skier, from novice through expert, including some marvellous glades. And a high-speed quad lift makes it all so accessible. As for Le Massif, those who have never been must surely have it on their bucket list. And Massif veterans generally can't get enough! Are you an Ikon Pass holder? Discounted price for using your own pass at Massif on Jan 28th. 

Built at the end of the 19th century in traditional French-chateau style, the majestic Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu makes this a special Snowhawks Getaway. The hotel amenities include several restaurants, bars, fitness room, indoor pool, whirlpool and spa. And overlooking the St Lawrence is the outdoor, year-round heated pool, hot tubs, new outdoor cold plunge pool, and outdoor sauna! Adjacent to the hotel, we will have easy access to the Casino de Charlevoix (including its on-site St Hubert restaurant). The Fairmont Rooms included in our double occupancy package feature choice of king/queen or two double beds, mini fridge, Nespresso coffee maker with complementary coffee, kettle with complementary tea, WiFi, bathrobes, and more... Single occupancy is available at a surcharge, as are room upgrades to Fairmont View (overlooking the river), Deluxe (with 20 to 30% more space and a sitting area), or Deluxe View. Triple occupancy available as well. From the complementary bell service for luggage upon arrival, to the baggage pull before breakfast on the final morning, our stay at the Manoir will be characterized by casual elegance.

Our motor coach departs Ottawa around lunchtime on the Sunday afternoon, returning Wednesday night.

Alternate Transportation Options
