The Best Instructors

Fun and friendships are guaranteed by setting groups according to both age and ability,
from the “never-evers” to the “mogul-bashers” and “shredders”.

With small groups (especially for beginners), and the same Snowhawks Instructor each week, we cater to the personal needs of each individual.

At Snowhawks we hand-pick our instructors for their talents in working specifically with children, teens, or adults, and then we train together as a team. Most are Snowhawks “graduates” themselves and, of course, all are certified by the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance (CSIA) and/or the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI). Snowhawks members don’t like to stand around, and neither do we… so our teaching approach features lots of movement and mileage with plenty of special events and activities.

We are proud of the fact that all of our instructors are nationally certified by the Canadian Ski Instructors' Alliance (CSIA) and/or the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI). These organizations have been certifying pros for over 85 years and are considered to be at the vanguard of ski and snowboard teaching around the globe. Whether you are taking a lesson from Snowhawks, Whistler, Tremblant or any other reputable hill in Canada, you can be assured of a consistent approach designed to achieve maximum results and delivered in a fun and safe manner.

Plus specialized instructors cater to specific programs.

Freestyle Ski or Snowboard

We teach the basics of freestyle including jumps, rails, boxes + half pipe, whereas our advanced classes have the option of perfecting their technique. Our own certified freestyle pros will take these members to the next level!

Instructor In Training

Designed for those who want to continue in the sport as nationally-certified pros, this specialty group within the program will learn the progression required by the CSIA or CASI. They will also have the opportunity to practice teach as well as fine tune their personal teaching skills. Snowhawks has been training members to become certified instructors for 40 years. Many successful “graduates” are now teaching with Snowhawks and at mountains across Canada and around the globe.
