INSTRUCTOR IN TRAINING

AGE: 14+ (Grades 9+)

For advanced skiers and boarders aged 14 and up, this group will prepare those interested in becoming nationally certified instructors (CSIA & CASI). These sessions are designed to not only continue the development of the skills and abilities of the students but also learn how to teach those very skills to others with a focus on teaching young children. Those who participate in a Snowhawks IIT program will be invited back by Snowhawks the following autumn to further prepare for their CSIA and CASI Level 1 certification course, and guaranteed a position with Snowhawks upon a successful completion of the level 1 certification!!

Many successful “graduates” are now teaching with Snowhawks and at mountains across Canada and in fact around the globe!

Our IIT program is a mandatory course for those wanting to become an instructor with Snowhawks. We differ from many snow schools as our first year instructors teach for 8 full days. This course not only trains and prepares students for the certification course, but it prepares new instructors to have a successful first year of teaching
