The Best Instructors

Fun and friendships are guaranteed by setting groups according to both age and ability,
from the “never-evers” to the “mogul-bashers” and “shredders”.

With small groups of only 5 – 8 (average class size of 6 students), and the same Snowhawks Raven Instructor each week, we cater to the personal needs of each individual.

At Snowhawks we hand-pick our instructors for their talents in working specifically with children and teens, or adults, and then we train together as a team. Most are Snowhawks “graduates” themselves and, of course, all are certified by the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance (CSIA) and / or the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI). Snowhawks Raven members don’t like to stand around, and neither do we… so our teaching approach features lots of movement and mileage with plenty of special events and activities.

We are proud of the fact that all of our instructors are nationally certified by the Canadian Ski Instructors' Alliance (CSIA) and/or the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI). These organizations have been certifying pros for over 75 years and are considered to be in the vanguard of ski and snowboard teaching around the globe. Whether you are taking a lesson from Snowhawks, Whistler, Tremblant or any other reputable hill in Canada, you can be assured of a consistent approach that is tried and true… and one that is designed to achieve maximum results and delivered in a fun and safe manner.

Our specialized instructors cater to specific programs.

Freestyle Ski or Snowboard

Freestyle 101 teaches the basics of freestyle including jumps, rails, boxes + half pipe, whereas our advanced classes focus on learning more advanced maneouvers and perfecting those tricks previously learned. Our own certified freestyle pros will take these members to the next level!

Instructor In Training

Designed for those who want to continue in the sport as nationally certified pros these groups will learn the progression required by the CSIA and CASI. They will also have the opportunity to practice teach as well as hone their personal skills. Snowhawks has been training members to become certified instructors for over 30 years. Many successful “graduates” are now teaching with Snowhawks and at mountains across Canada and around the globe.

Ski Race Team

For those members who enjoy skiing fast this group provides the ideal challenge. A half day working on high end skills; the other half developing technique in the gates. These groups are taught by instructors certified by the CSCF.
